Oil Painting Landscape Course

Oil painting offers a structured and thoughtful way to explore composition, color, and tone.

In this course, we focus on building a clear, conscious painting process that helps you understand how these elements work together — step by step.

This 5-week oil painting course is designed both for complete beginners and for those who have already tried oil painting but feel they are missing a solid, conscious foundation.

Throughout the course, you will be guided by an experienced instructor, who will support you at every stage of the process — from the first sketch to the final touches.

You won’t be asked to copy the teacher.

Instead, you’ll learn how paintings are built, so you can make confident artistic decisions on your own and develop a personal, thoughtful approach to oil painting.

We will begin with composition and placement of elements, then move on to focused color and tonal exercises that support the main work. You’ll create practical color and tonal swatches, explore different oil painting techniques, and gradually bring all these skills together in one complete painting.

By the end of the course, you will have one finished oil painting, created through a clear, structured process — and, more importantly, a deeper understanding of how to work with oils in a calm and confident way.

All necessary materials are provided by the studio.
