About the Instructor

Ksenia Lyakhova was born Moscow, Russia. In 2022, she became a member of the Union of Artists. Since 2023, she has been living and creating in the Netherlands, exploring the boundaries between the material world and the flowing energy that permeates reality.
In an era of digital noise and information overload, her art serves as a sanctuary. Through bold brushstrokes and rich textures, Ksenia creates a space where the chaos of the external world transforms into moments of clarity and inspiration.
Her work merges realism with abstract expression, exploring the dialogue between the visible and the invisible, the physical and the emotional. Each piece is a unique journey, fostering a connection with the beauty, mystery, and harmony of the surrounding world.
Ksenia’s paintings are distinguished by their conceptual depth and spontaneity. They reveal the complexity of the world, sparking curiosity and wonder, and inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in moments of stillness, magic, and meaning.

In this workshop, we’ll explore a vibrant floral still life in oil painting in a way to understand light, color, and richness of paint.

You’ll learn how to simplify complex shapes, work with bold colors, and create a sense of depth and glow using oil techniques.

What we’ll do:
• Understand the structure of a still life and how to build a balanced composition
• Learn how to see and mix rich, vibrant colors without getting muddy
• Explore light and shadow to create depth and atmosphere
• Practice essential oil painting techniques: layering, blending, and brushwork
• Work step by step, from blocking in large shapes to developing details
• Create a final expressive painting full of color and life
