Yury Dzhantuganov
Sketching European Castles & Fortresses
10 November – 15 December 2026
About the Instructor
I work as a software engineer and a watercolour artist. Painting helps me recharge emotionally, step away from work routines and focus on the small, important details that surround us.
I always carry a sketchbook in my backpack and draw whenever I have a free moment, whether it's pencil sketches of people on the subway or watercolour landscapes.
One day I gave a sketchbook to a colleague and invited him to go drawing together. Then I did the same for another colleague, and eventually I realised I could inspire people. That's how I started sharing my experience and teaching watercolour courses.
Let's paint together.
About the Event
A castle on a cliff, a fortress standing over a plain: you look at one and your imagination wanders off into another century. Then you pick up a pencil, and the towers, walls and roofs tangle together. Where do you even start?
Each evening of this series is a separate 3-hour masterclass with its own castle and its own focus: proportions and first watercolour techniques, linear perspective (two evenings), light and shadow, composition and simplification, and a final evening that brings it all together. Ink line and watercolour are practised every time.
Tuesdays 18:30–21:30, 10 November – 15 December. All materials provided.
No prior experience needed. Book a single masterclass for €70, or save with a bundle of 4, 5 or all 6 evenings.
