Castles #2: Perspective I & Stone in Ink

Masterclass #2 of the Sketching European Castles & Fortresses series with Yury Dzhantuganov.

The sketch on the cover is exactly the one we will draw together during this masterclass.

Focus: linear perspective (part 1) and stone texture in ink. Drawing a fortress gate and tower in Trogir, Croatia, we build depth with perspective lines and learn to suggest masonry with a fineliner, without drawing every stone.

Every evening we work in pencil, ink and watercolour: the teacher demonstrates each stage, you draw it, and we move on together, with personal guidance throughout. You leave with a finished A4 sketch.

Suitable for complete beginners. Each masterclass is self-contained: join one evening or combine several.
